Concrete Sealer

Tired of surface damage, corrosion, tire marks, fading, and staining? Are you always spending money on renewing your flatwork because of the wear and tear? A simple application of concrete sealers and you are good to go. A concrete sealer is a lot like a car-wax or a sunblock, although there are those who go without it they will soon regret it when the car paint peels or when their skin hurts from the sunburn. Concrete is already an incredible and durable flatwork choice, what more if it is specially and properly sealed.

The concrete sealer can keep your concrete flatwork looking great for many years to come. Not only will it improve your concrete’s appearance, but it will also protect it from stains and UV exposure which causes fading. In short, the main purpose of any sealer is protection; however, there are also some concrete sealers that can enhance the gloss or color of concrete. There are colored concrete sealers that are tinted to add visual color or deepen the originally plain concrete. Other than tinted sealers, there are also different gloss levels that stretch from flat natural to high-reflective finish. This gloss gives the sheen most people admire on a smooth surface.

There are two main types of concrete sealers: film-forming or topical and the penetrating or impregnating concrete sealer. The Film-forming sealer gives a high gloss finish that also enhances the color of your concrete while the penetrating sealer gives a natural finish. Film-forming sealers are also more susceptible to wear and need frequent reapplication in comparison to penetrating sealers that have a longer lifespan. And even if the surface starts to wear after years of use and exposure to the environment, you can still restore it from its former glory with a good cleaning and a fresh new sealer application. This is the best option for preserving not only your concrete property but also your budget.
